Today I am with my family at San Buenaventura State Beach in Ventura, CA.  Now I am not a huge fan of the beach, which is odd since I was born and raised in Southern California.  I prefer lakes and rivers to the sand and salt water but there is something very special about this beach.  You see, this is where my family and I were baptized a year ago and today is the annual Shepherd of the Hills Baptism at the Beach event.  Today we are celebrating our demonstration of faith by watching over a hundred others do the same.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19

This blog is going to be very short today.  I just wanted to post it as a celebration of this day when many people, including some I know are SHOUTING to the world that they have committed their lives to Christ.  The worship is starting now and I have about a hundred and twenty-five new brothers and sister in Christ to celebrate with.
